Delete your account
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This page explains how to delete your LectioDive account and the data that goes with it. LectioDive is made by Foxxception LLC. You can delete your account in the app, or ask us by email without the app.
You don’t need an account to read in LectioDive. If you never signed in, we have no account for you: what the app keeps is stored only on your phone.
Delete it in the app
- Open LectioDive and go to the Settings tab.
- Under Account, tap Delete account. It appears while you are signed in.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
Your account and its data are deleted from our database right away, and the app removes your journal, hearts, and reading progress from that phone.
Ask us by email, without the app
Email support@lectiodive.com from the address you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. If you write from another address, include your account’s address: we will email that address to confirm the request before we delete anything, so no one else can delete your account.
We delete the account within 30 days of your request, usually within a few days, and email you when it is done. An email request doesn’t reach copies the app keeps on your phone; remove those by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage.
What is deleted
- Your account: your email address, and any name or profile photo a sign-in service shared with us.
- Your journal entries.
- Your hearts (the Discover cards you saved) and your reading progress (the days you marked as read).
- Your sign-in records, including the IP address and device type they came from, and the link to any Apple or Google sign-in.
What is kept
- Reports you sent with “Report an issue” and chapter studies you requested are kept, but are no longer linked to you. Each study is shared with every reader.
- Crash and error reports are not linked to your account or email address, and our servers’ short-lived technical logs of requests expire on their own.
- Our database provider, Neon, keeps a history of recent changes for at most 30 days and its own backups for 30 days. Until these age out, they can still hold your deleted account. If we ever restore our database from this history, we delete again every account that was deleted after the restore point.
- Your pilgrimage, saved verses and highlights, reminder time, appearance settings and scripture layout were never sent to us. They stay on your phone until you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
Deletion cannot be undone. If you sign in again later with the same email address, you start a new, empty account.
Delete some data and keep your account
- A journal entry: open it, erase all of its text, and leave the page. The empty entry is deleted.
- A heart: tap the heart on the card again.
- A day you marked as read: on Today, tap Read ✓ to mark it unread.
- Anything else: email support@lectiodive.com and tell us what you would like deleted.
